Loathe to Love You by Ali Hazelwood

Summary:

Three novellas following the lives of a three friends navigating love and life in science.

My Thoughts:

I knew I would enjoy this set of novellas mainly because of my experience with Ali Hazelwood’s other books. Her books are the perfect lighthearted read I need sometimes and these novellas are exactly that.

I appreciated how each novella focused on a member of a particular friend group and that the characters weren’t wholly unrelated. This makes for easier transitions and less of a mental jump in my opinion.

The issue with having three novellas in one book is that it highlights some of the shortcomings of the author’s writing. Each novella features a small petite female with a tall fit male. Absolutely nothing wrong with that, it was just a little tiresome to read about by the third novella for me.

Overall, a very cute read and perfect for fans of Love on the Brain and Love Hypothesis.
