And Yet: Poems by Kate Baer

Summary:

A collection of poems on motherhood, friendship, love, and loss.

My Thoughts:

This is the first poetry book I’ve read in years and I am so glad I picked it up. It made me felt understood in ways I didn’t expect. There was an outlook on life that I could relate to as a woman over the age of 25.

While I’m not a mother, I think moms and parents will be able understand and sympathize with many of the poems. In addition to the poems on motherhood, there are also plenty of poems on life and human emotion in general.

I think poetry can be pretty subjective at times but I honestly think this was a great book of poems. Maybe not for everyone but I found these poems could be easily approached and understood while conveying true emotion.
