Book Lovers by Emily Henry

Summary:
Nora’s life revolves around books but that doesn’t mean she is the sweet relatable book lover. She is a killer literary agent who fights for her clients. The only person who sees her soft side is her sister.
When her sister insists they need a small town getaway, Nora relents and tries, for her sister’s sake, to experience small town charms. The last person she expected to constantly run into in this small town is Charlie, an editor from the city.
Both Nora and Charlie have never been on what you would call friendly terms. The more they keep bumping into each other, the more they may discover about one another and maybe even themselves.
My Thoughts:
I loved this book! I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this story. This book is perfect for both book lovers and romance lovers
The description of Nora’s romance life brought to light so many other romance tropes that I was worried the story would focus on being the opposite of a cliche romances only to end up being a cliche.
Nora is referred to a shark which I feel is a bit of an overkill for how her character actually. However this does highlight how the world can view a woman who fights for what she wants without compromise.
Is a small town romance for city people? It’s kind of fun to see them try. As someone who grew up in a small town, it’s funny to see small town life glamorized in certain ways. On the flip side of that, I am curious to know how many small towns actually offer a variety of vegetarian options and how many consist of only friendly people. It all just seemed a little unrealistic to me but maybe I need to explore more?
This book is not what I expected and that’s what I love about it. You read about two people who love books, their jobs and their family. It’s so easy to get lost in that and so nice to read a story like this one.
Calling all book/romance lovers: drop everything and go get the book. When you finish, come back her and let me know what you think!
