Heartstopper #1 by Alice Osman

Summary:

Charlie is sweet, likable, and openly gay. Charlie meets Nick who is on the school’s rugby team. They form a wonderful friendship but each struggles with emotions that could mean more.

My Thoughts:

If I had known I would love this book so much, I would have had the rest ready to read immediately.

This is my first graphic novel so I wasn’t sure how much I would like it but I ended up having no issues. It did take some adjustment for me but once I was invested in the story, I could not put this book down.

The artwork is not too simple but not too detailed either. It’s pretty and fun and adds to the story perfectly.

Nick and Charlie are such lovable characters going through some heavy emotions while having to deal with high school. I cannot wait to find out the rest of their story!

If you haven’t read this book, don’t put it off any longer. Get you hands on this book as soon as you can and happy reading!
