Kingdom of Flesh and Fire by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Summary:

Everything Poppy believed in was a lie including her trust in Hawke. Thrown into the middle of the two sides and being manipulated by the Prince of Atalanta, Poppy is doing what she knows how to do: survive. To survive, Poppy may have to work with Casteel and resisting his lies and temptations. The state of Atlantia and its people add to a complicated situation and to the possible danger Poppy is exposed to. More secrets come to light and they may earth shattering.

My Thoughts:

Wow, this book was amazing and even better than the first!

The relationship arc between Casteel and Poppy is a typical one but well done even if a little annoying at time.

Poppy’s constant questioning of her own feelings can be insufferable but definitely understandable given the circumstances.

I just want to leave a quick note about how much I love Kieran and how he’s tired of Poppy questions too. It’s hilarious, relatable, and much appreciated!

The story continues to surprise me even though there are still some predictable plot devices.

Overall, I would say drop everything to read this book because that is what I’ve been doing! Don’t forget to come back here for the review of the next book.
