Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood
Summary:
Olive believes staying away from love is what best for her but her friends aren’t convinced. So Olive does the only logical thing to convince them: she kisses the first guy she sees. It happens to be Dr. Adam Carlson, a faculty member in the department she’s working to get her PhD in. They decide to play the kiss out and start a fake relationship for various reasons but what happens when olive finds she’s falling for Adam?
My Thoughts:
This book was exactly what I needed for the moment. An easily enjoyable story that was funny and cute along the way.
I appreciated the academic setting and the description of some of the power dynamics in the setting. Both characters are lovable if not very communicative for adults in an academic world. I’ll admit some situations were juvenile and some instances were slightly cringey to me but it they still made for a good read.
Overall, I think this was a great read but not one that you need to drop everything for. It’s light-hearted, entertaining and ultimately a fun read.
