Ready Player Two by Ernest Cline

Summary:

Wade and the High Five are now the owners of the OASIS, everything is good. Well, why leave well enough alone? Wade finds a new technology that will change how users experience the OASIS but at a possible cost. With this discovery comes a new contest and a new adversary, one that will stop at nothing to get what he wants.

My Thoughts:

I absolutely loved this book! Earnest Cline has possibly outdone himself with this story.

The technology described in this book is mind blowing and wild to imagine. This book is definitely not what I expected the sequel to Ready Player One to be but that is what makes it even better in my opinion. Nothing is as I would have hoped and imagined things would be after Wade won the contest but what a great story Mr. Cline has created.

My only issue with this book is the ending. I personally did not like the ending even though I loved every other part of the book. I would have loved to know more about life on Earth and whether anything changes. I understand the ending and do love it’s inclusion in the book but I’m not sure it made the best ending. Maybe Ernest Cline will make a novella? Not likely but a girl can hope.

Despite the ending, drop everything and read this book if you’re a fan of Ready Player One!
