Rewrite the Rules by Kay Cove

Summary:

Adler Haley is great at writing and great at writing about sex as long as it’s not under her name. Never mind that fact that Adler has never even come close to experiencing the things she writes about. She is perfectly happy to focus on her regular job without love or sex. When Joel shows up as her new boss, he has her rethinking her notions about love and sex. The problem is Joel believes relationships bring out the worst in people. Unable to keep away from each other, they agree to have fun and only fun. WIth a set of rules in place to help, what could go wrong?

My Thoughts:

I honestly enjoyed every second of this book. The opening scene had me a little skeptical but once I got past that it was smooth sailing.

The flirtatious sarcastic banter immediately had me loving the relationship between Adler and Joel.

There are so many things I loved about Adler. Her sarcasm of course but I also find her to be such a strong woman. I did feel like she always had to look outward to figure out how she feels which was a little off putting but I think that’s an area in which her character develops.

I appreciated he perspectives on love, sex, and relationships in this book. I didn’t ever feel like the author was trying to push a particular view or belief when it came to these subjects Speaking of sex, there is some good spice in this book!

The ending was a bit much but not unlikable. Honestly, if the author wanted to write more of Joel and Adler, I would read it!

This book is cute, sexy and funny and I recommend it as a great read!
