My Thoughts:
I had such a high hopes for this book but ultimately it just didn’t live up to them.
I love Greek mythology and wanted to love this book. On of the major obstacles standing in my way was the constant perspective shifts and the multiple storylines. All of the events are clearly connected but not enough that I felt like the story flowed well.
The author did a great job writing the different perspectives. All offered something unique to the story which I really enjoyed and appreciated. The problem with these changing perspectives is they make it difficult for the reader to connect with any specific character making it harder to enjoy the story.
I am glad to have read some of the original takes the author had to offer and I hope to give this book another read when my life isn’t so hectic. I think this book is a good read but one that you should be a little prepared for what you’re going into.
