My Thoughts:
The first chapter alone pulled me in immediately. This book was really well written, keeping you interested all the way through and giving plenty of background information on the world without being overwhelming or affecting the pace.
The author was also able to give the perfect amount of levity and spice to make this a well rounded book. All of this while managing to set a good pace speaks wonder for me.
This book is packed with plenty including vampirism, alchemy, ancient covens, romance and more! The vampires in this book are not in any way cliche which I think is important to note and I can’t wait for the next book. Such a genuinely great read so go check it out!
