The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab

Summary:

Addie LaRue wants more for her life than just marriage and kids. She wants to see the world outside of her small town and experience all that life has to offer so she prays to the gods. One day the wrong god answers but Addie is desperate. She makes a deal that will cost her. A deal that will allow her to live as long as she wants but will keep anyone from remembering her or anything about her. All of that changes when a guy in a bookstore remembers her.

My Thoughts:

I am a bit biased when it comes to Victoria Schwab s books. I am a huge fan of her Shades of Magic serries and I absolutely love her style of writing. This books is no different!

I love the writing, the story, and the characters. I am sure some will disagree but I enjoyed every minute of this book.

The perspectives change from past and present and between the two main characters which is infuriating at times but it all comes together beautifully. I love that she included Henry’s side of things and not just Addie’s despite the story revolving around her.

The ending makes me want more! I love the way the book ended and how Addie’s story turned out. I wonder if Victoria will do more with this book or leave it as is. Either way drop everything to read this book and tell me what you think!
