The Stolen Heir by Holly Black

Summary:
Oak is all grown up and on a quest to rescue his father Madoc from the Court of Teeth. To do so, he needs the help of the only person who has any power in the court or over Lady Nore, Suren. Suren has been on the run since being freed but has never truly been free from her mother. The last thing she wants to do is return to the place of her suffering but it may be her only chance to truly be free.
My Thoughts:
This book lived up to every excitement I had about revisiting the world of Elfhame.
The plot was good and the characters are what you expect from the world of Elfhame. I’m glad to get a closer look at Suren and Oak and how their lives have changed and been influenced from the events of the Cruel Prince series.
I, of course, wanted more snippets of information on Jude and Cardan from the previous series.
Because the world has already been established in Cruel Prince, this book is very easy to get into making the read that much more enjoyable.
This is my sixth book from Holly Black that I’ve read and it has made me love her writing even more. I think this made me more alert to her hints so I was able clearly see when this book was going. Even so, it did not take away from the story for me.
A great read if you love holly black or the Cruel Prince series!
