The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren
Summary:
Olive’s life is almost comically a disaster while her twin sister seems to have all the luck. Olive finds herself having to spend her sister’s wedding day with her enemy, Ethan. When the entire wedding party gets food poisoning and the only people unaffected are Olive and Ethan, they are the only ones who can take advantage of the paid-for honeymoon. Olive can put up with Ethan if it means a great vacation. However, Olive may get more than she bargained for with Ethan but maybe that’s not a bad thing?
My Thoughts:
This book is romantic comedy through and through. Enemies to lovers, sexual tension, flirting, and witty banter all rolled up into one story for your reading pleasure.
I love sarcasm and this book gave me plenty. I found myself laughing out loud so many times reading this book.
I did not have a problem with either of the main characters to be honest. It’s nice to see both characters stay true to who they are even if others may have issue with it. I love how much Olive’s character developed by the end and I think Ethan is a sweet guy. It’s crazy how much perception can affect a situation and this story does a good job of highlighting that.
I was not expecting the drama at the end but it was well done and nothing over the top.
I would say drop everything and grab this book. It’s a perfect rom com and perfect for losing yourself in quick book vacation!
